Oil marketing companies are burdened with Rs 53,700 crore in LPG under-recoveries and the government may release Rs 30,000 crore in subsidies in 12 tranches from November 2025, according to a Nuvama Research report. The brokerage warns the subsidy covers only 56% of losses as rising prices, high capex and sector uncertainty deepen the strain.
